A tribal sheikh was seriously injured after being shot by a leader of the terrorist Houthi militia in Ibb Governorate (central Yemen).

Local sources said that Sheikh Ali Al-Sanfani was shot on Saturday by a Houthi leader, Abu Hamza Al-Sahari, who was impersonating the security director of Yarim, which caused him serious injuries and he was transferred to intensive care in one of the city’s hospitals.

The sources added that Al-Sanfani tried to intervene to prevent Al-Sahari from robbing the land of a merchant from his village, "Sanfan", and an argument broke out between them, and the Houthi leader shot him.

Sources indicated that Sheikh Al-Sanfani's condition is critical, while the Houthi leader is still at large.

The incident comes a week after the killing of the two sons of the tribal sheikh (Mohammed Mansour Pasha) in a land dispute in the Madhikharah district, southwest of Ibb.

Ibb Governorate, which is under the control of the terrorist Houthi militia, is witnessing a significant escalation in land disputes, which are one of the most prominent killings in the governorate in recent years.
