Hodeidah: Yemen Youth Net
The Human Rights Office in Al Hudaydah Governorate (western Yemen) condemned the heinous crime committed by the Houthi militias against the citizen (Fatima Ayesh Ahmed - 45 years old), who was kidnapped and killed in Al-Duraihimi District, south of the governorate, calling on the government to take practical measures to save the people of Tihama from the brutality of the militia.
The statement described the crime as "heinous" and said it represented "a flagrant violation of human rights, humanitarian values and tribal customs, which respect the sanctity of the human soul."
He added that the crime comes in the context of the ongoing violations practiced by the group against the Yemeni people, especially women and children, without any deterrent or respect for international and humanitarian laws.
The statement held the Houthi militia fully responsible for this heinous crime, calling on the international community, local and international human rights organizations, to take urgent action to condemn this criminal act and take the necessary measures to ensure that the perpetrators are held accountable and put an end to these repeated violations.
The Human Rights Office renewed its call to the Presidential Leadership Council and the legitimate government to take practical steps to end the Houthi coup and save the people of Tihama in particular and the people of Yemen in general from the brutality of the Houthi militias.
The Houthi militia had kidnapped the citizen "Fatima Ayesh Ahmed" eight days ago from the Markouda camp for the displaced in the Al-Duraihimi district, before her body was found yesterday, Saturday, in the Dakhnan desert area in the same district.
