Beyond the current rebuke and glorification, current events and the multi-dimensional wars unleashed by the “Al-Aqsa Flood” raise the need for a comprehensive reassessment of what we should call the new or renewed Eastern Question from its roots.

The word “flood” – in “Al-Aqsa Flood” – has general religious connotations, but adding it to the word “Al-Aqsa” gave it Islamic religious connotations, as Al-Aqsa represents in Islam “the first of the two Qiblahs and the third of the two Holy Sanctuaries.”
