The Houthi threat, its remoteness, its wide-ranging and destabilizing impact in the Middle East, and Yemen’s strategic location along a major international shipping route, complicate any potential Israeli response, especially if taken unilaterally.

Recently, calls have emerged for so-called "self-rule" in the governorates of Socotra and Hadhramaut (eastern Yemen), following the fragmentation projects in the country, supported by some regional countries, and their efforts to search for areas of influence and control in the south and east of the country.

After the collapse of the Assad regime in Syria, the Houthis emerge as the last of Iran's arms in the region, whose threat has recently escalated remarkably. After the disruption of the Iranian axis, discussions are taking place at different levels about Yemen, and the question is: Will the Houthis be next?

US forces launched attacks on Sanaa and said they targeted a missile storage facility. This came at a time when Israeli officials said that the occupation army is preparing to launch another attack in Yemen, including the participation of other countries, to create a "full mobilization" that will increase the attack on the Houthis.

The Houthi attacks only hurt sister countries and the people of Yemen, who are now facing the risk of food supplies being cut off, and are paying the bill for increased prices of goods and commodities, if any. An American research center said that international alliances are now considering taking more powerful and far-reaching measures against the Houthis in Yemen. At the same time, reports indicate that the Yemeni armed forces and regional and international partners are coordinating to restore the legitimate government in Yemen, enhance maritime security, and contain Iranian influence.
