Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak said that the Public Prosecution has begun investigation procedures into the Aden refineries issue, and the irregularities that occurred in a contract worth $180 million over the past nine years, and the large sums of money paid by the government from the value of this contract and its failure to implement it.

The Council of Ministers approved the restoration of the activity of Aden Refineries as a free zone, as it approved the Aden Refineries Company to carry out its activity in accordance with the free zone system because it is located within the Aden Free Zone, Sector (N), which is specified in accordance with Prime Minister’s Resolution No. 65 of 1993 regarding locations and their geographical borders.
