The US Embassy in Yemen said on Monday that the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, visited Sanaa to pressure the Houthi militia to release detained citizens.

The director of the Syrian Civil Defense (White Helmets), Raed Al-Saleh, announced on Monday that 5 specialized teams are searching for the possibility of the existence of secret doors or basements in the Sednaya prison in the countryside of the capital, Damascus.

The prison is located near the Saidnaya Monastery, 30 kilometers north of the capital Damascus. It was built in 1987 and is divided into two parts. The first part is known as the “Red Building,” which is designated for political and civilian detainees, while the second part is known as the “White Building,” which is designated for military prisoners.
