The Red Sea crisis has affected Indian export growth to several trade destinations, Indian Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, as Iran-backed Houthi militias continue their attacks on cargo ships for more than a year.

The United Nations confirmed that the repercussions of the Red Sea unrest, which is witnessing attacks by the Iranian-backed Houthis on cargo ships, will affect food security and economic growth in developing countries.
