Houthi militia loses control over society

In contrast, students, writers, university professors, lawyers, teachers, and even craftsmen are the spearhead of the popular protest movement against the Houthis. The fact that this broad popular movement comes after a month of sectarian Houthi Mawlid events, years of summer courses, and widespread compulsory recruitment, only means one thing: the Houthi control system is no longer working efficiently, and there is a disruption in its mechanism of operation that originated from the Houthi structure itself, and was reinforced by the broad popular reaction, starting with the family, reaching the school, university, market, unions, and social media. The Houthis no longer frighten anyone, as a result of the fragmentation they are suffering from, and the effects of that fragmentation will soon appear at the level of their military and security structure.
