Hamas called on the international community to pressure Israel to stop the genocide it has been committing in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.

This came in a statement published by Hamas on Friday, on the occasion of the International Human Solidarity Day, which falls on December 20 of each year.

The movement said: "The International Day of Human Solidarity, which was approved by the United Nations General Assembly, comes to remind us once again of the extent of the crimes, the ugliness of the aggression, and the war of genocide committed by the Zionist occupation against our people in the Gaza Strip over the course of 441 days."

Hamas called on the international community to "pressure by all means on the Zionist occupation to stop its aggression and crimes of genocide, ethnic cleansing and forced displacement that it is committing against our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip."

She called on the international community to abide by its "political, legal, moral and humanitarian responsibilities to stop the barbaric aggression (on Gaza) that has no parallel in modern history in its brutality, sadism and terrorism."

She also stressed the need to "try the occupation leaders for their crimes against the Palestinians and their legitimate rights" and "strengthen human solidarity with the Gaza Strip."

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 152,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.

Israel continues its massacres, ignoring two arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court on November 21 against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant, for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against Palestinians in Gaza.
