Al Jawf.. Violent clashes between tribal gunmen and Houthi militia in "Al Matmah"

Violent clashes erupted between tribal gunmen and the terrorist Houthi militia in one of the towns of Al-Matmah District in Al-Jawf Governorate (northeast of Yemen), following a campaign of violations that affected the region.

Tribal sources said that violent armed clashes, in which light and medium weapons were used, broke out yesterday evening between tribal gunmen from Bart, led by Abu Turki Al-Abes, and a Houthi campaign that stormed the Al-Dhalfan area in the Al-Matmah Directorate.

The sources added that the clashes came after the militia besieged the area and bombed its homes with the aim of arresting "Al-Abes" for unknown reasons.

The governorate witnesses clashes from time to time between tribes and the Houthi militia as a result of the militia's attacks against tribesmen at its checkpoints and areas under its control.
