A civilian in his fifties was seriously injured by a landmine explosion left by the terrorist Houthi militia in Al-Jawf Governorate (northeastern Yemen).

The Yemeni Mine Observatory said on Thursday evening that the fifty-year-old citizen (Saleh Hamran) was seriously injured as a result of the explosion of a mine left by the Houthi militia in the Khab and Al Sha'af district in Al Jawf governorate.

He added that the accident, from which two others survived, occurred while they were driving a civilian car on the desert road in the Al-Yatmah area.

Al-Jawf Governorate is one of the Yemeni governorates most contaminated with mines planted by the Houthi militia on a large scale, and their incidents have caused the death and injury of thousands of civilians since the beginning of the war.
