Abyan.. Fire devours a camp for displaced people in "Khanfar" and appeals to rescue those affected

A huge fire broke out on Wednesday in a camp for displaced people in Khanfar District, Abyan Governorate, southern Yemen, causing significant material losses.

Local sources said that the fire consumed all the displaced people's homes built from huts and all the food and shelter materials in them in the "Miklan" camp in the Joul Al-Sada area in Khanfar District.

The sources explained that the displaced people were left in the open as a result of the fire that consumed all their homes without any human casualties.

For his part, the Director of the Executive Unit for Displaced Persons in Abyan, Nasser Al-Mansouri, confirmed that the fire devoured the displaced persons camp in the area of Jul Al-Sada Mikalan in Khanfar District, Abyan Governorate.

Al-Mansouri appealed to the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Prime Minister, the Head of the Executive Unit, international organizations, and charitable and philanthropic men to quickly respond to shelter the camp families and assist them with emergency food supplies, to alleviate the catastrophe that befell them and their children.
