Army forces announce thwarting three Houthi militia infiltration attempts on Taiz fronts

The National Army forces announced, today, Thursday, the thwarting of three infiltration attempts by the Houthi militia on the fronts of Taiz Governorate (southwest of Yemen), amid an ongoing escalation by the militia.

The Taiz Axis Media Center said, "The terrorist Houthi militia continues its escalation on the battle fronts and targeting civilians in the city of Taiz, in conjunction with bombing army sites and residential villages with drones."

He added in a statement on his Facebook page that the army forces "thwarted three infiltration attempts by the terrorist militia, killing two of its members and wounding a number."

The statement explained that the army forces targeted the militia's artillery positions, which shelled various areas of residential neighborhoods in the city and in the western countryside of the governorate.

In recent weeks, the terrorist Houthi militia has intensified its hostile attacks on army positions on various fronts in the governorate, in conjunction with a continuous mobilization of equipment and armed elements and the creation of military fortifications around the city.

The militia also continued its violations against civilians, targeting gatherings of citizens and civilian objects with artillery and drones, causing deaths and injuries among civilians and material damage to property.
