Director of the Education Office in Hajjah Governorate, Abdullah Al-Hayrani, said that hundreds of students enrolled in schools have not found a curriculum since last year, in light of the lack of curricula in the besieged areas, north of Hajjah Governorate.

Al-Hayrani explained in a statement to the "Yemeni Youth" channel that schools in northern Hajjah are severely lacking in the curriculum, pointing out that most of the old school curricula that schools relied on in previous years were destroyed by the Houthi militia.

Al-Hayrani called on the relevant authorities to exert more efforts to support the educational process and provide the curriculum to hundreds of students, after some school books arrived with difficulty by sea to the northern regions of Hajjah from the interim capital, Aden.

He stressed that the war and siege of the region by the Houthi militia caused a lack of school books and the collapse of the educational process in the areas north of Hajjah Governorate.
