Night clashes erupt between army forces and Houthi militia north of Taiz

Last night, armed clashes broke out between the National Army forces and the terrorist Houthi militia north of the city of Taiz (southwest of Yemen).

The Taiz Military Axis said in a brief statement on its Facebook page, late last night, that armed clashes broke out between army forces and Houthi militias on the Al-Zanuj front, located to the east of the Air Defense Front, northwest of the city of Taiz.

The army media did not provide further details about these clashes, which came after a night of other confrontations between the two sides on the northern and northwestern fronts of the city, and the Aqroud front southeast of the city.

The National Army announced on Thursday/Friday night that it had thwarted an infiltration attempt by the Houthi militia on the Asifrah front, while the militia launched artillery shelling targeting the army forces’ positions on the air defense front northwest of Taiz city.

Since last Tuesday, the Houthi militia has been trying to regain control of the positions it lost in the north and northwest of the city, through attacks, infiltration attempts, and intensive shelling, but all of its attempts have failed.

On Monday/Tuesday night, the National Army forces thwarted violent attacks launched by the Houthi militia on their positions on the northern and northwestern fronts of the city, before leading counterattacks and taking control of the strategic "Al-Aryal and Al-Zabia" hills, in the vicinity of the "Air Defense" and advancing on the northern front to Al-Arbaeen Street and taking control of several buildings in battles that resulted in the killing and wounding of 23 Houthi elements.
