Taiz: Yemen Youth Net
The National Army announced that it had taken control of strategic sites in the northern and northwestern fronts of the city of Taiz, following clashes that erupted following failed attacks by the terrorist Houthi militias.
The armed forces website, September Net, quoted military sources on Tuesday as saying: “The armed forces launched counterattacks on the positions of the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias in the vicinity of the ‘Air Defense’ northwest of the city.”
The sources added that the heroes of the armed forces were able, during the confrontations, to control the strategic hills of "Aryal" and "Zabia", amid a mass escape of militia elements.
On the northern front of the city, army forces launched a counterattack after thwarting a Houthi attack, during which they were able to force the militias to retreat and flee, advance to Al-Arbaeen Street and take control of several buildings where militia elements were stationed, according to the sources.
The Taiz Military Axis announced early Tuesday that it had thwarted a violent Houthi attack on its forces’ positions on the air defense front, and that 8 Houthi elements were killed and 15 others were injured in violent clashes between the two sides.
