The terrorist Houthi militia is moving to drop 250,000 employees in the administrative apparatus from the payroll in the areas under its control, under the pretext of work stoppages.

Government sources said that the Ministry of Civil Service in the unrecognized militia government has begun preparing new lists to pay salaries, replace them with loyalists, and cancel the names of displaced employees who were displaced by the war.

The Houthi militia had adopted, early last December, a draft law to pay half the salary to government employees at the beginning of the new year in an attempt to absorb the wave of popular anger coinciding with the blows that the Iranian project received in the region.

Since the beginning of its war on the Yemenis ten years ago, the Houthi militia has displaced tens of thousands of government employees and kidnapped thousands of others, replacing them with loyalists in all sectors of the state in the governorates it occupies.

The Houthi militia has been cutting off salaries to government employees for more than eight years, despite the large financial revenues it collects from taxes and revenue-generating institutions under its control, which allocate their revenues to support what it calls the “war effort.”
