The Jaadna tribes in Abyan Governorate announced the failure of a mediation led by the Minister of Defense, Mohsen Al-Daari, and a number of security and military leaders to release Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ashal Al-Jaadani, who was kidnapped by the Southern Transitional Council forces in the interim capital, Aden.

Yemeni Defense Minister Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari arrived in the city of Sayoun in Hadhramaut today, Sunday, two days after two Saudi officers were killed by a Yemeni army soldier, in an incident whose details have not yet been revealed, while Saudi Arabia and Yemen confirmed coordination to conduct investigations.

Hadhramaut Governor Mabkhout bin Madi met on Thursday with the leadership of the Saudi Arabia-led coalition to support legitimacy in the city of Seiyun, headed by Assistant Lieutenant Colonel Abdulrahman Mohammed Al-Tarifi, amid popular unrest in the governorate as a result of the continued deterioration of services for several weeks.
