The London-based newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadeed said that it was able to enter Hama military airport, which is now under the control of the Syrian opposition forces after a pivotal battle yesterday, Thursday, coinciding with their control of the center of Hama Governorate (central).

A Syrian opposition leader said that the city of Hama, which was stormed by armed opposition factions on Thursday afternoon, was bound to fall, and that what awaits the regime will be more difficult.

The Syrian opposition forces announced entering the city of Hama and taking control of its neighborhoods, coinciding with the announcement by the Syrian regime's Ministry of Defense of its withdrawal from the city.

While Bashar al-Assad was preparing to declare his final and decisive victory over the opposition factions after having made great strides in the diplomatic re-establishment of his regime, he was surprised by an unprecedented and bold attack launched from the liberated areas in Idlib and the western countryside of Aleppo, and the cities and villages of Idlib and Aleppo provinces fell before him, and the battles reached the north of Hama province.

With the rapid advance of the Syrian opposition factions, this Saturday afternoon, in the northern Hama countryside, and their ability to control most of the cities and towns there, the Syrian regime forces began to evacuate their positions and head completely to the Homs Governorate, located to the south.

An Israeli attack targeted an industrial area in the central Syrian province of Homs early Thursday morning, injuring four people, starting a huge fire and causing material damage. Israel also bombed a Syrian site in the Hama countryside.
