Media sources revealed that the administration of Sana'a University, which is under the control of the Houthi militia, forced students to organize weekly protests, in exchange for granting them 10 additional marks in each subject.

Major public universities have closed a number of humanities departments due to the low number of students enrolled in them. The faculties of arts and education topped the list of this decline, which specialists described as “frightening and unprecedented.”
