A series of airstrikes were launched at dawn on Thursday on three Yemeni governorates. Houthi media reported that several governorates in Yemen were subjected to what it described as American-British aggression.
She stated that "an American-British aggression targeted the Jarban area south of the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, and that 3 American-British raids targeted the Harf Sufyan district in Amran governorate, north of the capital."
She pointed out that the "aggression" also extended to Al-Luhayyah District in Al-Hodeidah Governorate, west of the country.
The Associated Press quoted the US Central Command as saying that it carried out strikes against underground weapons storage facilities in areas controlled by the Houthis in Yemen.
The command indicated that the strikes in Yemen targeted weapons used by the Houthis to attack ships in the Red Sea.
Earlier, the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced that its Central Command carried out strikes on Wednesday against two Houthi facilities in Yemen. The Pentagon added that the strikes "are part of efforts to degrade the Houthis' ability to threaten partners and ships in the region," according to its statement.
