The Israeli Channel Kan revealed that intelligence recruited dozens of Jews of Yemeni origin to deal with what it described as threats from the Houthi group, which launches missile attacks from time to time targeting the occupation.
The Israeli channel explained that those who were recruited understand the Arabic language in the Yemeni dialect, some of them immigrated from Yemen, and some of them grew up in a home that spoke Arabic in the Yemeni dialect.
She said that the recruits will serve in the Aman Intelligence Division, to help in the confrontation by gathering intelligence information and understanding Yemeni culture.
Israeli analysts and experts believe that there is a deficit in intelligence information in the Israeli occupation army, and it cannot target them because they were not within its circle of interest during the past decades.
Since November 2023, the Houthis have been attacking Israeli or Israeli-linked cargo ships in the Red Sea with missiles and drones, and they have also been attacking targets in Israel.
Israel launched several aggressive attacks on Yemen, the last of which was about a week ago, when it targeted Sana'a International Airport and a power station in Sana'a. Israeli media revealed that the occupation army launched 10 raids in Sana'a and Hodeidah.
