Minister of Education Tariq Al-Akbari held talks with his Qatari counterpart to mobilize support for developing and improving the educational process in Yemen.

Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said in an interview with Sky News that US President-elect Donald Trump wants to reach an agreement before he takes office in January.

Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani called on Friday for an immediate ceasefire to end the bloodshed and humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, reiterating his country's readiness to mediate in this regard.

Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al-Ansari said on Tuesday that his country is ready to resume its mediation in indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas to cease fire in the Gaza Strip "if there is seriousness from the parties" concerned.

Reuters quoted an informed official as saying that Qatar will withdraw from mediation efforts to stop the ceasefire in Gaza until "Hamas and Israel show a sincere willingness to return to the negotiating table."

A memorandum of understanding was signed in the capital, Doha, today, Wednesday, between Yemen and Qatar for cooperation in the judicial and legal fields.
