Sudanese Army Commander-in-Chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan arrived by helicopter at Khartoum Airport and then headed to the presidential palace in the capital to share in the victory celebrations with his soldiers after the army seized control of the palace. He announced from there that Khartoum was now free.
