Saudi Arabia affirms its support for the Syrian people to achieve their aspirations and determine their fate

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia affirmed, on Sunday, its support for the Syrian people at this sensitive historical stage, calling for unifying efforts to achieve stability in the country and supporting its right to self-determination.

The Kingdom expressed its emphasis that the time has come for the Syrian people to enjoy the decent life they deserve, stressing the importance of supporting Syria's stability and its return to its natural position in the Arab and Islamic worlds.

Saudi Arabia expressed its satisfaction with the measures taken to ensure the safety of the Syrian people and preserve the institutions of the Syrian state.

She pointed out that these steps represent the beginning of overcoming the crisis and stopping the bloodshed, while stressing the need to preserve Syria's sovereignty and unity.

She stressed the need for concerted efforts by the international community to support the Syrian people in the post-conflict phase, in order to ensure peace and stability in the long term.
