Leading sources in the Hamas movement revealed that several countries agreed to host deported Palestinian prisoners as part of the exchange deal with the Israeli occupation government, and stipulated that it would not be announced at the present time due to political and security circumstances in their countries.
The sources told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed newspaper that Egypt was one of the countries that took the initiative to receive a large number of prisoners among those released in the first phase and in the following phases, and it did not stipulate that its hosting be limited to prisoners from the Fatah movement, but rather expressed its readiness to host prisoners from all factions.
The sources confirmed that there was no crisis regarding the prisoners released in the first phase, stressing that the contacts being conducted by mediators with several Arab and Islamic countries primarily target the arrangements for the second phase, which may witness larger numbers, as it is scheduled to begin negotiations regarding the military prisoners and Shabak officers held by the resistance.
The deported liberated prisoners are currently temporarily residing in the Al-Massa Hotel in the New Administrative Capital, while Cairo, according to sources, has provided facilities for the prisoners and their families who came to meet them.
Earlier on Monday, Hamas sources told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that the Palestinian prisoners who were released as part of the exchange deal within the framework of the ceasefire agreement and who are in Egypt are not prohibited from leaving the hotel where they are staying.
A leader in the movement explained that they do not have any recent identification papers or passports, so their documents are currently being issued and completed at the Palestinian embassy in Cairo.
Regarding their next destinations, the source explained that the clear agreement so far is regarding the Jerusalemite prisoners, as they will head to Turkey after the release of the deported prisoners from Israeli prisons is complete.
