Yemen Youth - Follow-ups
Today, an educational forum was held in Ma'rib Governorate for kindergarten teachers and schools in Al-Jawf Governorate on the occasion of World Education Day, to raise awareness, protect the youth, and immunize them from the misguided Imami dynastic myths, strengthen the national identity, and provide generations with what serves the enlightened thought that keeps pace with their future aspirations.
During the forum, which was organized by the Education Offices in Marib and Al-Jawf in cooperation with Al-Qalam Foundation for Thought and Culture and the Idea Educational Foundation, the Deputy Governor of Al-Jawf, Eng. Abdullah Al-Hashidi, said: “Educating and educating generations for the future is a noble mission and a fundamental driver of the educational process to deepen knowledge and awareness. This will not be completed except by establishing and implementing educational activities, making the student the focus, creating an attractive environment, and preparing the youth intellectually and scientifically to confront the dangers surrounding them, through sincere will and serious orientation.”
For his part, the head of the Qalam Foundation and the Director General of the Education Office in the Capital Secretariat, Abdul Halim Al-Hijri, urged the leaders of the educational sector to realize the dangers surrounding education, confront the racist ideology of the Houthi project with enlightened thought, instill the principles and values of the Republic, enhance national awareness, preserve the Yemeni identity, and expose the Houthi ideology and its destructive goals. He stressed that the most dangerous war waged by the militia is its targeting of education, in which illiteracy in areas controlled by the militia has reached 70% in the countryside and 40% in cities.
According to the official newspaper, Al-Thawra, Al-Hijri praised Al-Jawf’s experience in holding a forum concerned with kindergartens as a rich experience that inspires others to follow the same path, be aware of sectarian thought and its roots, and wage the intellectual battle against it with everyone’s initiative.
Two papers were also presented at the forum. The first, by Dr. Mutahhar Al-Barti, dealt with the importance of the existential battle of awareness and thought, which is no less important than the military battle, and the establishment of activities that deal with the intellectual aspect, to consolidate national loyalty, identity and values in the souls of students, which stem from a true awareness of the errors of Imami thought.
The second paper was presented by the head of the activities team in the governorate, Ahmed Haidar, who pointed out that the Yemeni society is facing a fierce attack of hatred against its identity and religious and national constants by the Houthi militia, stressing the importance of being fully prepared to confront it, protecting the youth from priestly intellectual mines, correcting misconceptions, and working as one team to advance the country through education, as it is the most important lever for advancement.
During the forum, which was attended by school and activity directors, an extensive discussion was held about the danger of dynastic thought to Yemeni generations, and the danger of dynasty to the state and the republic. Creative female students from Al-Jawf schools in the fields of chanting, recitation, literature, memorization, writing, and handicrafts were also honored with certificates of appreciation and incentives.
