Saif Al-Sharaabi was killed on Monday, December 30, 2024, in front of his house in Taiz after a fight with an armed man.

On Thursday, the young woman Ghadir Al-Sharabi appealed again for the arrest of the accused of killing her father, who was killed last Monday in front of his house in the city of Taiz, southwest of Yemen.

She said in a post on Facebook, "Her father, Saif Mahmoud Faraj Al-Sharaabi, was killed by the criminal Walid Kamel Abdel Raqib, nicknamed "Walid Shala'a", on Monday, December 30, at 7:30."

She added, "This heinous crime took place before our eyes, and our hearts are still aching for the loss of our dear father, who is still in the refrigerator. This crime has robbed our lives of happiness and security, and left us facing separation and deprivation."

The young woman, Ghadeer, posted a video on Facebook, explaining the details of her father’s murder in front of their home while she watched with her sisters. She said, “Her father was lying on the ground and no one helped her,” and appealed to the head of the Presidential Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, to help her find her father’s killer and achieve the justice we deserve.

"My demand is still to arrest my father's killer and to carry out swift retribution as a lesson to others," she said, noting that "her father's killer is still at large to this day."

For his part, Taiz police official Osama Al-Sharaabi said on Tuesday, "We confirm that the General Police Department began its procedures immediately upon receiving the report and is still continuing to track, pursue and arrest the perpetrator." He added - on his Facebook page - "We reiterate that we do not and will not be lenient in enforcing the law, pursuing criminals and establishing security and stability in Taiz, no matter the cost."
