Tribal sources revealed the identity of a Houthi militia leader who was killed yesterday, Sunday, in the Al-Khalq district of Al-Jawf Governorate (northeastern Yemen).
According to sources, Houthi leader Ahmed Jaber Al-Razami, a commander in one of the militia's brigades, was killed in the ambush, along with his companion.
On Sunday, unidentified gunmen attacked Houthi elements in the Rawdh market in Al-Khalq district, southeast of the governorate center, killing and wounding four.
The identity of the attackers and their motives are unknown, and the militia has not issued any statement clarifying the incident, which coincided with rising public discontent in the governorate over the militia's violations.
