Al Mahrah.. An expanded meeting to discuss security challenges and combat drug smuggling

The Director General of Security and Police in Al Mahrah Governorate, Brigadier General Mufti Suhail Samouda, confirmed that the security services will begin field visits to the directorates in coordination with the leadership of the local authority to enhance security and stability in the governorate.

This came during his meeting on Wednesday in Al-Masilah District, in the presence of the Director General of the District, Lawyer Fadl Salah Al-Duhaimi, leaders from the local authority, security services, and sheikhs of the district, to discuss the security situation in the district.

According to the Mahra Media Center, the Brigadier General praised the role of sheikhs and dignitaries in supporting the efforts of the security services in confronting drug smuggling gangs, appreciating the sacrifices made by security personnel to protect Mahra.

The Director of Al Mahrah Police stressed the need for everyone to work together to maintain the stability of Al Masilah District, as it is the eastern gateway to the governorate.

For his part, the Director General of Al-Masilah District, Fadl Al-Dahimi, welcomed the visit of the Director of Security and the security leaders, stressing the support of the sheikhs and dignitaries of the district for all efforts and their keenness on permanent cooperation to achieve security.

During the past period, the security services in Al Mahrah succeeded in seizing dozens of smuggled materials, including drugs, hashish, and others. A number of shipments of weapons and drone parts were also seized that were on their way to the Houthis in Sana'a.
