Houthi militia intensifies its shelling of residential neighborhoods north of Taiz city

Today, Sunday, the terrorist Houthi militia intensified its shelling of residential neighborhoods in the north and northwest of the city of Taiz (southwest of Yemen), as part of widespread violations against the residents of the governorate.

Local sources said that the Houthi militia targeted the neighborhoods of Al-Arbaeen Street, north of Taiz, and the neighborhoods surrounding Jabal Jarrah and the air defense site, northwest of Taiz city.

The sources added that the Houthi shelling, in which the militia used artillery, tanks, and mortar shells with drones, coincided with shelling of army forces' positions on those fronts.

The Houthi shelling of residential neighborhoods comes two days after a similar shelling that targeted Al-Dahi neighborhood west of Taiz city, which resulted in the injury of the child "Akram Abdul Salam Bajash" with shrapnel from a mortar shell, and damage to citizens' homes and property.

Since the beginning of December, about 22 civilians have been killed and injured in Houthi shelling targeting civilian objects in the city and Maqbanah district, west of the governorate, in addition to material damage to property.
