The terrorist Houthi militia continued to force employees in government and private institutions in areas under its control, specifically in the capital Sana'a, to attend intensive military training, including the elderly; this is part of its preparations to declare war again on the Yemenis under the pretext of supporting Palestine.
Activists on social media circulated a video clip of a number of employees of the Supreme Authority for Medicines, which is under its control in Sana'a, carrying out military training, which consists of crawling on hands in one of the mountainous areas surrounding Sana'a, which it has turned into closed military areas.
According to special sources for "Yemeni Youth Net", the militia has formed special committees at the level of each ministry, authority and institution, and they enjoy significant financial support and direct follow-up from the office of the leader of the Houthi militia regarding the enrollment of employees in these courses, under the pretext of preparing for war with the Zionist aggression.
The sources explained that these committees were formed by officials in each institution and ministry, and included in their membership directors of financial and administrative affairs and other officials directly linked to employees; to harness the financial and administrative capabilities of the institution to force employees to attend these courses.
The sources indicated that since October 7, the militia has tried to mobilize everyone under the banner of confronting the Israeli aggression and supporting Al-Aqsa and Palestine, including employees, after it failed to attract new fighters to its ranks, especially after the UN truce that was declared in early April 2022.
This comes in light of the militia’s attachment of all its civilian and military officials to the so-called “Holy Quran University,” which conducts its exams centrally at Sana’a University, and whose number exceeds 20,000 students from various governorates.
According to private sources, the civilian and military officials of the militia are chosen based on the outputs of this university, which officials are now competing to join, hoping to obtain a position, or to maintain their position.
Observers considered what the Houthi militia is doing to employees, especially civilians, by forcing them to attend military training as an insult, humiliation and subjugation.
