Yemeni Ambassador to Sudan

Sudanese Interior Minister, Lieutenant General Khalil Pasha, said on Monday that Yemenis residing in Sudan receive care and attention.

This came during his meeting with the Yemeni Ambassador to Sudan, Omar Al-Madawi, according to what was reported by the government agency Saba.

The Sudanese Minister of Interior stressed the strength and depth of the fraternal and historical relations between the two brotherly countries.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations, ways to enhance and develop them, the conditions of the Yemeni community and providing possible facilities for them.

It is noteworthy that the war that has been taking place in Sudan for a year and a half has cast its shadow over the Yemeni community, as they faced great difficulties during their transfer to Yemen due to the circumstances they experienced.

The Yemeni government had evacuated Yemeni nationals from Sudan on board Yemenia Airlines, and some of them were evacuated to Saudi Arabia, while Qatar received a number of the Yemeni community in Sudan, after their appeals to intervene as the war in the country intensified.

Neither the Yemeni ambassador nor the Sudanese official mentioned the number of Yemenis still in Sudan today.
