Technical failure forces Yemenia plane to return to Aden airport after takeoff

A Yemenia Airlines plane returned to Aden on Thursday evening from Al Mahrah Governorate without completing its destination, after it was on its way to Socotra due to a technical fault.

A source in Yemenia Airlines confirmed to "Yemeni Youth Net" that flight number 431 headed from Aden Airport to Al Mahrah before returning to Al Rayyan Airport in Mukalla and then to Aden, without completing its journey to Socotra, due to a technical malfunction in the pump of the aircraft refueling vehicle at Al Ghaydah Airport and the absence of a refueling vehicle at Al Jazeera Airport.

The source explained that when the plane was requested to be refueled in Al Ghaydah, the oil company representatives at the airport apologized, saying that the plane's refueling vehicle was broken, noting that the technicians tried to repair the vehicle, but the problem was not solved.

He pointed out that the plane returned to Al-Rayyan Airport to refuel, but time did not allow them to return from Al-Mukalla to Socotra due to the closure of Socotra Airport at 5 pm, and it was decided that the flight would return to Aden with passengers on board.
