On Wednesday, the Yemeni Teachers Syndicate called for activating the union role at various levels to perform its duty towards male and female teachers and the teaching profession.
This came during a meeting held by the administrative body of the Yemeni Teachers Syndicate in Marib, headed by the Executive Director of the Syndicate, Ahmed Al-Rabahi, with the leaders of the Teachers Syndicate to discuss the issues and demands of male and female teachers and the conditions they live in.
The union held the government fully responsible for the deterioration of teachers' conditions and its repercussions on the educational process, which is witnessing a rapid and dangerous deterioration that threatens the future of generations.
The meeting reviewed the union's efforts to demand teachers' rights and improve their conditions, and the difficulties facing responding to the legal demands of education workers in light of the legitimate government's conditions, in addition to the reality of teachers in the non-liberated areas who are suffering greatly because they are performing their educational mission while being deprived of their monthly salaries for eight years, which is a tragic situation without precedent.
The meeting discussed possible means of activating the demand for rights by activating the union role at the governorate and central levels and adhering to constitutional and legal rights in expressing the legal and rights demands of educators and workers in the field of education.
