He pointed to the real threats to the course of the peace process in Yemen, and the failure of all negotiations and regional and international efforts aimed at achieving it in light of the Houthi militias' continued escalation in the Red Sea and on all fronts in the country, and their insistence on implementing the agenda of their supporters in Tehran aimed at turning Yemen into an arena for their regional and international conflicts.
The member of the Leadership Council warned against the international community’s continued disregard for the Houthis’ persistent efforts to establish Yemen’s subordination to the Velayat-e Faqih regime, which seeks to exploit its important geopolitical location to achieve its expansionist ambitions, and make it an advanced base for implementing its activities that destabilize security and stability in Yemen and the region, and threaten maritime navigation in one of the most important waterways for global trade.
For their part, the ambassadors of the European Union countries affirmed their countries' continued support for the Presidential Leadership Council headed by President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, the members of the Council, and the government, to implement political and economic reforms and achieve stability in living and service conditions in Yemen, expressing their appreciation for the keenness of the Presidential Leadership Council to ensure the success of all regional and international efforts aimed at achieving comprehensive peace in Yemen.
