The United States announced on Tuesday that it had carried out airstrikes against more than 200 Houthi targets in Yemen since mid-March.

The White House said that "the strikes against the Houthi terrorists eliminated their leaders and networks and destroyed their capabilities," noting that Iran has been weakened as a result of these attacks.

He added that strikes against the Houthis will not cease until freedom of navigation is restored, stressing that strikes have been carried out against more than 200 Houthi targets so far.

Earlier today, US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed via its X platform that its forces are continuing to launch attacks on Houthi positions.

CENTCOM said, "The operation to counter the Houthis began on March 15, 2025, with decisive action, embodying the United States' commitment to regional stability and freedom of navigation," adding, "Houthi attacks pose a threat to global trade."

She noted that her response sends a clear message that hostile acts against freedom of navigation will not be tolerated: "protecting vital trade routes, deterring destabilizing threats, and defending international security."

On Monday, US President Donald Trump warned the Houthis and Iranians that "greater things are coming" if attacks on ships do not stop.

Trump said via the X platform: "The Houthis' choice is clear: Stop shooting at American ships, and we will stop shooting at you. Otherwise, we are just beginning, and the real pain is yet to come, for both the Houthis and their sponsors in Iran."

On March 15, Trump announced that he had ordered his country's military to launch a "major attack" against the Houthi group in Yemen, before threatening to "completely eliminate the Houthis."
