Local authorities in Jabal Habashi District, west of Taiz (southwest of Yemen), announced that 5,000 families were affected by the floods that swept through the district last Thursday evening.

A government report revealed that about 20,000 displaced families were affected, with 44 deaths and injuries, due to the heavy rains and strong winds that hit Marib Governorate (eastern Yemen) since the beginning of this year.

The local authority in Al Hudaydah Governorate (western Yemen) announced that more than 200 homes were damaged by the rains and floods resulting from them in the liberated Al Haymah area, south of the governorate.

Three children died and others survived, in incidents related to the continuous torrential rains witnessed in Al Hudaydah Governorate (western Yemen).

183 people were killed by rain and floods that hit four Yemeni governorates in the west and center of the country last August.

The death toll from the torrential rains that hit the Wasab al-Asfal district in Dhamar Governorate (central Yemen) has risen to 26, while the search for the remaining missing persons continues.
