Al Hudaydah: More than 200 houses in Al Haymah area damaged by rain and floods

The local authority in Al Hudaydah Governorate (western Yemen) announced that more than 200 homes were damaged by the rains and floods resulting from them in the liberated Al Haymah area, south of the governorate.
The statement of the local authority of At Tuhayta District in the legitimate government authorities came during an inspection visit by the director of the district, Hassan Hanbiq, accompanied by the director of the executive unit in the governorate, Jamal Mashra’i, to inspect the area affected by the torrential rains that the region witnessed during the past days.
According to the statement, the rains and floods led to the total and partial destruction of 205 houses (made of mud and palm fronds), including the contents of citizens and displaced persons, in addition to the death of dozens of livestock and sheep.
The Director of the Executive Unit, Jamal Mashra’i, called on international and local organizations to carry out their humanitarian duty and provide relief to the affected families who are now living in a catastrophic situation.
