Today, Saturday, the round of negotiations in the Omani capital, Muscat, between the government and the Houthi militia regarding prisoners and abductees ended without reaching a clear agreement, and the government delegation accused the Houthis of sabotaging the round.

On Sunday, the Association of Mothers of Abductees and the SAM Organization for Rights and Freedoms launched an urgent humanitarian appeal to the negotiators in Muscat to release all the abductees, led by Muhammad Qahtan, without restrictions or conditions.

New negotiations to exchange prisoners between the legitimate Yemeni government and the Houthi group were launched in the Omani capital, Muscat, on Sunday, under the supervision of the United Nations.

Surprisingly, the Omani authorities in Muscat are hosting public negotiations for the first time since the outbreak of war between the government and the Houthi militia, to discuss the issue of exchanging abductees and prisoners, which has been frozen since the last deal in April 2023.
