Trump and Dealing with the Gaza and Lebanon Wars

When Donald Trump won his first presidency, it was a surprise. We knew nothing about him, not his personality, his ideas, or his management style. In a closed seminar, one of his close associates said: “His advantage is his disadvantage; he has a strong personality, so be careful not to anger him, or he might throw you under the bus.” He was not wrong.

The new Trump looks different from the first Trump; less intense, more attentive, and seems more knowledgeable about political issues.

We are optimistic before he starts, he returns with overwhelming popularity inside his country and this gives him the power of support internally and externally. He has won all his electoral battles and his opponents have laid down their weapons and acknowledged his victory. We know this man's capabilities from his previous presidency, he has the courage and energy that are enough to change the world. Like any second-term president, he will seek to immortalize his name in the history books.

It may be too much to think that Trump is the man who will end wars and conflicts, and it is an exaggeration to say that he can save the planet. In any case, he has promised to do so.

There is Ukraine, the European war, the Gaza and Lebanon wars, the Palestinian state issue, the confrontation with Iran, the Houthis at the entrance to the Red Sea, the end of the American military presence in Iraq and Syria, North Korea’s threats to its allies, and the most difficult file, which is the tensions in the relationship with China, whether political or military, and at sea with the Philippines, as well as Taiwan.

Trump has often talked about how he can leverage his relationship with Russian President Putin to end the Ukrainian war. Europe and Russia are stuck in the quagmire, and after nearly two years, Russia has neither been able to swallow Ukraine nor have the Ukrainians succeeded in expelling Russian forces, and there does not appear to be a decisive military solution on the horizon.
