The Organization of Islamic Cooperation condemned in the strongest terms the unacceptable and irresponsible statements of the Israeli Prime Minister in which he called for "the establishment of a Palestinian state on Saudi lands."
The organization considered these statements as "incitement against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and an attack on its sovereignty, national security and territorial integrity, in flagrant violation of the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter."
The organization confirmed, in a statement published on its website, that these racist statements come within the framework of the continued denial of the historical, political and legal rights of the authentic Palestinian people in their homeland by the occupying power, Israel, and a desperate Israeli attempt to circumvent the national rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to return, self-determination and the establishment of their independent state on their national soil.
It renewed its rejection and condemnation of the plans and attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land, considering this ethnic cleansing, a crime and a flagrant violation of international law.
At the same time, it renewed its call on the international community to redouble efforts to end the illegal Israeli colonial occupation and settlement in the Palestinian territories, and to embody the sovereignty of the State of Palestine over the territories occupied since 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital.
The organization also appreciated the firm historical positions and tireless efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in providing all forms of support to the Palestinian people and their just cause, and mobilizing international efforts to implement the two-state solution based on the relevant United Nations resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
In a related context, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed Al-Yamahi, strongly condemned the irresponsible statements issued by the Israeli side, which called for the establishment of a Palestinian state in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, warning of the danger of such statements, as they will lead to the escalation of conflicts in the region and threaten security, stability and world peace.
Al-Yamahi stressed, in a statement, the Arab Parliament’s rejection of these statements that affect the sovereignty, security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and that they constitute a blatant violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions, stressing that the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of Arab national security and that tampering with it cannot be accepted.
The Arab Parliament reiterated its categorical rejection of all statements that affect the sovereignty of Arab countries, in addition to being a blatant violation of the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on all their national soil in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem, in accordance with the lines of June 4, 1967.
Al-Yamahi stressed the Arab Parliament's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to preserve its sovereignty, security and the stability of its people.
