Ben Mubarak: The government is ready to submit the state budget for the year 2025 to the House of Representatives

Yemeni Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak announced on Thursday the government's readiness to submit the state's general budget for the year 2025 to the House of Representatives.
This came during his meeting with Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohsen Basra, and members of the House Mohammed Muqbil Al-Humairi, Insaf Mayo, and Abdullah Al-Naamani, according to the Yemeni News Agency "Saba".
Dr. Bin Mubarak briefed the Deputy and members of the House of Representatives on the government’s efforts to combat corruption, stressing the continuation of this approach to establish the principles of transparency and good governance in all state institutions.
He pointed out the government's vision for institutional reforms and the development of economic resources, noting that the government has adopted a spending plan to rationalize limited expenditures.
The meeting discussed the government's plan for economic recovery 2025-2026 and the role of the House of Representatives in following up on the implementation of the plan.
The discussion also touched on the national issue and the various challenges facing the country, most notably the ongoing disastrous repercussions of the Houthi coup and the economic war waged by the terrorist Houthi militias to exacerbate the humanitarian and economic conditions and target national capabilities.
The meeting also stressed the importance of cooperation and integration between the various authorities to confront these challenges and strengthen the comprehensive national project to end the coup and restore the state's authority over all Yemeni regions.
The Deputy and members of the House of Representatives expressed their support for the government's directions and its efforts in combating corruption and financial and administrative reform, appreciating the Prime Minister's decision to terminate energy purchase contracts to preserve public money and state resources.
They also stressed the importance of supporting this decision and the concerned authorities assuming their responsibility to provide fuel for power generation stations from producing fields, expressing their understanding of the difficult circumstances in which the government is working.
They also stressed the Council's undertaking of its constitutional responsibilities and its performance of the oversight role assigned to it to enhance the work of institutions in order to achieve the desired goal of ending the coup and restoring state authority throughout Yemen.
