The Saudi national team qualified for the FIFA U-20 World Cup finals in Chile after defeating China 1-0 in the quarter-finals of the AFC U-20 Asian Cup.

At the Shenzhen Youth Training Center, the Falcons team snatched a killer goal in the last minute of stoppage time through substitute Ammar Al-Yahibi.

Saudi goalkeeper Hamed Al-Shanqeeti brilliantly saved a penalty kick taken by Chinese Lui Shengguo in the 59th minute.

Saudi Arabia topped Group 2, noting that their last third title in the continental championship dates back to 2018, while China, which won the title once in 1985, qualified for the knockout stages after finishing second in Group 1.

China will host the 42nd edition of the tournament from February 12 to March 1.

The teams that finish in the top four in the continental tournament qualify to represent Asia in the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.
