Yemen Youth - Follow-ups

The Al-Namaa Center for Humanitarian Media revealed in a recent study that about 21.6% of Yemeni families were forced to sell their personal property to secure their basic food needs.
The study, which was implemented over 30 days in various Yemeni governorates, showed that this measure came in light of the deterioration of the living conditions and the lack of necessary support.
The study showed that 35.3% of Yemeni families reduced the number of daily meals due to the lack of food aid, which reflects the depth of the crisis that citizens are suffering from.
The study aimed to shed light on methods of securing food in the absence of external support.
The data indicated that 23.5% of families resorted to temporary work to provide food, while it showed that 4% of families reached the stage of resorting to strangers for assistance.
She stressed that this percentage reflects the depth of extreme poverty suffered by many Yemeni families.
