Prime Minister directs restructuring health financing and strengthening private sector partnerships

Prime Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak directed the Ministry of Health today, Wednesday, to restructure health financing and activate strategic partnerships with the private sector, with the aim of enhancing the efficiency of health services and ensuring their sustainability.
During his speech at the first conference on the health system in Yemen, held in the interim capital, Aden, Bin Mubarak stressed the need to re-arrange national priorities to direct available resources more effectively.
He stressed the importance of developing incentive policies for doctors and health cadres, improving the work environment, and creating stable career paths that contribute to attracting and retaining talent.
He also called for raising the efficiency of the health system by exploiting available resources and adopting modern technologies, noting that achieving health stability is a fundamental pillar for achieving national stability, which is a top priority for the government.
Bin Mubarak praised the organization of the conference, considering it a serious step towards building a more efficient and sustainable health sector.
He expressed his hope that the participants would come up with a practical and creative roadmap that goes beyond traditional solutions and relies on innovation, partnership and wise management of resources, thus contributing to ensuring the sustainability and development of the health sector in Yemen.
