Qassam Brigades
The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced on Sunday that its fighters carried out a complex ambush against Israeli occupation soldiers and vehicles in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip. The Qassam Brigades stated that the operation took place in the vicinity of the Burj Awad intersection in the Al-Janina neighborhood, east of Rafah, on November 22.
The Al-Qassam Brigades said, in scenes broadcast on its Telegram channel, that the complex operation came in revenge for the blood of the head of the political bureau of Hamas, the martyr Yahya Sinwar, and called it the "Victory for Sinwar's Blood" operation.
The video footage shows Qassam fighters targeting Israeli military vehicles with two Al-Yassin 105 shells, in addition to sniping at occupation soldiers who came from the Salah al-Din axis, and targeting others who had taken refuge inside a residential building.
Yahya Sinwar was killed during an armed clash with the occupation forces in an advanced combat axis in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood in Rafah on October 17. Israel considers Sinwar the architect of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation carried out by Hamas against Israeli settlements and military bases on October 7, 2023.
The disclosure of the details of this ambush coincided with the announcement by the Ministry of Health in Gaza, on Sunday, that the Israeli occupation had committed 6 massacres within 24 hours, resulting in 47 martyrs and 108 wounded arriving at hospitals, bringing the toll of the Israeli aggression to 44,429 martyrs and 105,250 wounded since October 7, 2023.
Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, said on Sunday that about 200 Palestinian martyrs are still under the rubble of homes destroyed by Israel in the northern Gaza Strip during the past 48 hours.
Abu Safiya explained in a video clip: "The humanitarian scene in the northern Gaza Strip is approaching an absolute catastrophe as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression, as more than 200 Palestinians were martyred in the past 48 hours, and their bodies are still under the rubble." Abu Safiya added: "The occupation committed massacres against the families of Al-Araj, Al-Baba, Alian and Warsh Agha, and only three wounded people who survived the Israeli raids have reached the hospital, who are still alive."
“What breaks our hearts is hearing the voices of survivors calling for help from under the rubble, and when citizens tried to rescue them, they were targeted again by Israeli aircraft, making access to those areas almost impossible,” he continued. “The targeting of the Al-Araj family home was tragic, as there were about 100 people inside the house, and only one person survived, an employee in the laundry at Kamal Adwan Hospital, who happened to be at work during the raid.”
