Gaza Health: The death toll from the Israeli aggression exceeds the 45,000 threshold
Gaza| 16 December, 2024 - 10:51 AM
The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced, on Monday, that the death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 45,028 Palestinian martyrs and 106,962 wounded since October 7, 2023.
The ministry reported in its daily statistical report that "the death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 45,028 martyrs and 106,962 injuries since October 7, 2023."
The ministry stated that the Israeli army committed "7 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 52 martyrs and 203 injuries arriving at hospitals during the past 24 hours."
She pointed out that there were "a number of victims under the rubble and on the roads," as ambulance and civil defense crews were unable to reach them.
More than once, civil defense and ambulance crews in Gaza said that they were unable to reach areas where the Israeli army was penetrating to retrieve the dead or rescue the wounded due to the dangerous security situation and the deliberate targeting of their crews.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving, in addition to the dead and wounded, more than 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
Israel continues its massacres, ignoring two arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court on November 21 against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant, for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against Palestinians in Gaza.
Israel also defies the UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate end to the war, and the International Court of Justice's orders to take measures to prevent genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
