X platform makes major changes to ban system

In a new move that sparked controversy, Elon Musk, owner of the X platform (formerly Twitter), announced changes to the blocking system, allowing blocked users to see public posts from accounts that blocked them; without being able to interact with the posts by liking, replying, or reposting.
Reasons for change
The change came after the platform noticed that many blocked users were creating alternate accounts to follow and interact with the accounts that blocked them. Musk had previously expressed his desire to remove the blocking feature, calling it “of limited use,” and said the new change gives blocked users the ability to report harmful content that they previously couldn’t see.
