Sports| 29 August, 2024 - 10:13 PM

The account of French star Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid striker, on the "X" platform (formerly Twitter) was hacked at dawn on Thursday, and tweets were published about Palestine and about Argentine Lionel Messi, which were later deleted.
At around 3 a.m., the former Paris Saint-Germain striker's account, which has 14.4 million followers, posted the message "Free Palestine" followed by several Palestinian flags, according to the AFP Digital Investigation Unit.
Other posts, which were saved by many Internet users, mocked Messi, the star of the American Inter Miami, while praising the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, the star of the Saudi Al-Nasr, and also mocked several clubs, most notably the English Manchester United.
People close to the French national team striker, contacted by AFP, did not want to comment on the incident.
